Meanwhile, Alexis and Kristina are too worried to go home. Alexis cant help but feel as though something suspicious is going on so she and Kristina decide to stop by the PCPD on the way home from the hospital. Alexis hides a smile as she sees the look on Macs face when she walks in.
"Ms. Davis, its the middle of the night. Is everything alright?" he asks politely. "Is Mr. Corinthos in trouble yet again?" Alexis smirks at him.
"This has nothing to do with Mr. Corinthos," she replies. "Im here to check on the driver in that accident that left Mr. Jacks in the hospital."
"Ms. Davis, this does not concern you. I already promised I would call Skye when we have further information on the case."
"Yes it does concern me," she shoots back. "Im Jaxs attorney and I have a right to know any information which becomes available." Mac sighs, rubbing a hand over his forehead.
"Fine," he says wearily. "Right now, the suspect is still being questioned, but I promise to contact both you and Skye when its finished. Alright?" Alexis gives a satisfied nod and she and Kristina leave.
"Alexis? Youre not still considering asking Sonny about the bodyguards, are you?" Kristina asks, noticing the distant look in her sisters eyes.
"Mmmm," Alexis replies, lost in thought. Kristina lightly shakes Alexiss arm.
"Whats the matter? Itll help to talk about it, you know. And Im happy to give you any advice I have!" Alexis just supresses a smile and walks to the car along with Kristina.

Skye still sits by Jaxs side, holding his hand and watching him as he sleeps. Staring down at her cell phone, Skye waits impatiently for Mac to call her back. Supressing a yawn, Skye glances towards the clock and is surprised to see it is almost 1:30 in the morning. Her nervous energy had prevented her from getting too tired before, but now she couldnt but feel completely drained. Leaning back in the chair, Skye cant help but close her eyes. Ill just rest for a minute, she tells herself. When the phone rings, it will wake me up.
The next thing Skye knows, she is opening her eyes to bright sunshine streaming in through the small hospital window. Looking at the clock, she sees that it is now 8:00 am.
"Shoot," she mutters, immediately shifting her gaze to her cell phone. She groans when she sees that the battery power has run out, since it was left on all night.
"Whats wrong Skye?" Jax asks softly. Skye jumps, startled, as she realizes he is awake.
"I didnt mean to fall asleep, thats all," Skye quickly covers. "How are you feeling?" she asks anxiously.
"A lot better," he says. "My ribs dont ache this morning. The only thing thats bothering me a little is my arm, and Im sure the doctors can do something for that." Skye smiles at him, unable to keep the love from her eyes.
"Im glad," she says, kissing him lightly on the cheek. "What a sense of deja vu," she continues. "Wasnt it just ME in that hospital bed?" Jax nods thoughtfully.
"Ill be out of here soon," he says. "And then I have a proposition for you. I want you to move in with me."
"What?" Skye asks, her voice rising in surprise. "You mean into your suite at the hotel?" Jax just smiles.
"No," he answers. "Somewhere else, but its a secret for now. That is, providing that you WANT to be with me" Skye smiles.
"I guess youll have to wait and see. Although I guess I need to take care of you anyway. That is, providing youre going to act like the big baby you said you would." Jax grins, a gleam in his eye.
"I think I could get used to you waiting on me 24 hours a day," he says jokingly.
"Dont even THINK about it," Skye teases. "I dont wait on anyone, thank you very much. Although I think in the case maybe I can make an exception, just for a little while." The two are interrruped by a doctor who walks in to check Jax. "Ill be back in a bit," Skye says. "I just want to go make a phone call." Jax nods and smiles at her. As Skye shuts the door behind her, she cant help but feel a little flutter of excitement as she considers Jaxs offer. She smiles to herself as she heads off to find a pay phone. Things are looking better this morning, and she only hopes that her telephone call to Mac doesnt change that.
