The next morning Skye awakes to light breathing beside her. She shifts slightly to look over at Jax, who is still sleeping soundly next to her. Her eyes soften with love as she watches him breathing in and out. She studies his face, smiling at his peaceful expression. She quietly gets out of bed and tiptoes out of the room, walking slowly to the kitchen. Pulling her robe around her, she opens the refigerator. She is determined to make HIM breakfast this morning. Quietly removing the pancake mix, she looks around the room. Locating the correct drawer, she takes out a large frying pan. She mixes the batter quickly, groaning when she notices how thin it is. She squints at the recipe on the box.

"Oh," she says out loud. "That was one cup of milk, not two." She dumps out the batter and starts over. Finally mixing it right, Skye pours the batter into the frying pan. As the pancakes are cooking, she makes an attempt to make coffee. Wrinkling her nose at the burning smell, she dumps it out and starts over. Shes so busy that she doesnt even hear Jax come up behind her. For a moment he just stands, watching her intently. She slips the pancakes onto a large plate and turns around, smiling when she seems him.

"Good morning, sleepyhead," she says, smiling.

"Good morning," he replies. "What are you doing?"

"Well, Im TRYING to cook breakfast, but it hasnt been going too well," she says, indicating the trash can. He peers in and chuckles, then heads over to make the coffee Skye had given up on. She removes plates from the cabinet and sets them down with the pancakes. Together they make a quick fruit salad and sit down to eat.

"Skye, these are delicious," Jax says as he takes a bite. She blushes.

"Really?" she asks. He nods, taking a drink of coffee. Skye pulls her robe around her tighter as a chilly breeze blows in the open window. It is a rainy and gloomy day in Port Charles. After breakfast, Skye heads to the bedroom to get dressed for her ELQ board meeting. Quickly putting on a black pants suit and curling her hair, she shakes her head softly. She did NOT feel like going to the meeting, especially since Jax wasnt going. She didnt want to leave him. Grabbing her purse and an unbrella, she walks back out to the living room.

"Have fun," Jax says, grinning. She laughs.

"Id rather stay here with you," she says, slipping on her coat.

"Ill still be here when you get back," he teases her, getting up from the sofa to give her a kiss. She kisses him back softly before leaving. As soon as the door shuts behind Skye, Jax grins and leaps into action. Quickly throwing on a pair of jeans and light-weight sweatshirt, he hurries back into the living room and grabs the phone. Waiting impatiently as it rings, Jaxs mind drifts back to Skye.

"Hello?" a deep voice says on the other end.

"Hey Tom, its Jax. How are you?" he asks. The two talk for some time before Jax reveals his intention for calling. "Tom, I need a favor," he says.

"Sure," Tom says, listening as Jax carefully details his plan. When he is done, there is a momentary silence at the other end.

"Tom?" Jax asks. "You there?"

"Im here," he answers. "I just cant believe how much trouble you are going to. This must be one special woman." Jax nods to himself.

"Shes more than special," he says. "Shes everything and more." A smile grows on his face just THINKING about Skye. He talks with Tom a little longer, carefully outlining his idea.

"Ill be glad to help," Tom says.

"Thank you so much, I appreciate it," Jax says. Hanging up the phone, he feels a sense of excitement soar through him. He cant WAIT to see Skyes reaction.
