At Jaxs hotel room, bright late-morning sunlight streams through the windows in the bedroom. Skye and Jax are still cuddled in each others arms, just as they had been as the sun rose.
"Hey Jax," Skye says, slightly turning to face him.
"What?" he asks, staring into her eyes.
"We should probably get up now. Its 10:00," she says, smiling. He nods, but doesnt move. It feels too good to have her in his arms. She laughs and sits up, pulling him with her. "Come on," she says, standing up and throwing on her robe. He slowly gets to his feet, watching Skye. She feels his stare and turns around to face him, looking at him questioningly.
"Youre such a special woman," he says, slowly coming up behind her. A grin overtakes her face as he slips his arms around her waist. The grin slowly turns into helpless giggles as he tickles her gently. She whirls her head around, twisting and turning to get away, but he grabs her and pulls her back. Slowly bringing his hands up to her cheeks, he kisses her gently. Kissing him back, happiness floods Skyes heart. When she breaks away, she grabs clothes from her suitcase and heads for the bathroom.
"Be right back," she says. After she leaves, Jax just stares after her for a moment. Shaking his head to foucs himself, he heads over to his dresser for clothes. By the time Skye emerges, Jax is dressed in a pale green shirt and jeans. He looks over at Skye as she walks into the living room, dressed in a simple black sleeveless top and khaki ankle-length pants. He cant help but notice how her hair curls gently around her face. For a moment he just stares, thinking she looks like an angel. She smiles at his stare, taking in his clothing and noting that green is a good color for him.
"What would you like for breakfast?" he asks her as she joins him on the sofa.
"Anything is fine," she says. "As long as Im eating it with you."
"Well, that is one thing you can definitely count on," Jax promises, unable to stop himself from once again gathering her into his arms.
"This is another habit we have," Skye jokes. "We are never going to get anything done because we keep stopping to hold each other."
"Fine with me," Jax says. "Theres nothing Id rather do." And with that, he pulls her closer than before. She rests her head lightly on his shoulder, then giggles with true joy. Just feeling her warm breath on his neck is enough to make Jax dizzy. Bending his head down slightly, he kisses her again. "Wanna skip breakfast and just stay here?" he jokes. She laughs and pulls him up towards the kitchen.
"Youre just avoiding cooking," she jokes. He follows her into the sunny kitchen.
"Am not," he says. She smiles, removing a waffle mix from the refrigerator.
"Come on," she says. "Well make it together." Jax smiles as he watches Skye, noticing a streek of flour on her cheek. He goes over to wipe it off, but only succeeds in smearing it worse. She throws a grape at him playfully. He retaliates, chuckling at her sudden playfulness. Scooping it up and tossing it back at him, Skye starts to giggle uncontrollably. "You make my life so much better," she tells him in between giggles.
"Just wait," he says, grinning at the new streak of flour on her other cheek. "Im going to make it even better."
