As Jax unlocks the door to his suite at the Port Charles Hotel, Skye cant help but feel a little nervous. She isnt sure why, except for the fact that now they are home in Port Charles and she doesnt know quite what to expect. She sets her suitcases down just inside the door as Jax walks over to check his answering machine. After doing so, he turns to look at Skye.
"What would you like to do?" he asks her, glancing at his watch. "Its only 10:00". She considers.
"Anything," she says. "As long as were together."
"Good answer," he replies, smiling. Impulsively, he reaches over and turns on his CD player. "Lets dance," he says, grabbing her into his arms. His proximity to her makes her heart race, even after the time they had already spent together. Her breath comes in short rasps as he twirls her around. After about fifteen minutes, they collapse onto the floor, completely out of breath from the exertion. Skyes heart races as Jax falls over on top of her, in essence pinning her to the ground. She hears HIS heart racing and wonders if he can feel hers doing the same.
She becomes dizzy when he doesnt move, but rather kisses her gently, sweetly. Her whole body heaving from the dancing, she kisses him back, more passionately than ever before. Cradling her head in his arms, Jax doesnt move. For what seems a lifetime, the two dont move from that spot, instead remaining, kissing each other with all the love in the world. When Jax finally pulls away and moves back, Skye cant breathe. She sharply inhales air, it rushing back into her lungs. Jax just grins, eyes sparkling.
"Glad we decided to come home?" he asks her. She nods, unable to speak, still gulping in air. He leans over and pulls her into his lap, holding her so close she can actually FEEL the beating of his heart. "I love you, Skye, more than I can possible say." She gently strokes his cheek, feeling the blood rushing through his veins.
"I love you too, Jax" she says, her voice catching. "You have changed my world, made me see that sometimes things CAN work out, I CAN be happy," her voice trails off. He cradles her in his arms, kissing her bare shoulder softly. As the two move up to the sofa, still out of breath, everything else in the world disappears to them. They are the only people that matter; they are each others whole lives. As they sit and talk, each feels a sense of adventure. What will the new day bring?
