Jax and Skye step into the brightly lit casino, each surveying the room. It is bustling with energy and life. Jaxs eyes sparkle as he looks over at Skye. He can tell she is excited, and the thought of it thrills him.
"Care to join me for dinner?" he asks her.
"But of course," she answers, smiling. He takes her hand and leads her into a big restaurant off to the side.
"Good evening, Mr. Jacks," the owner says. "How are you this evening?"
"I couldnt be better," Jax says, tightening his grip on Skye. "Could we please have the table near the window?" The owner grins and leads Jax and Skye to the requested table. Skyes mouth actually drops as she looks out the window at the beautiful scene outside. The sun is setting over the ocean, making the sky a combination of deep pink and blue. The dinner passes by quickly and soon the two are eating dessert.
"This is delicious," Skye says, taking another forkful of chocolate mousse. Jax smiles.
"This is the best restaurant in all of Atlantic City," he says. After dinner, Jax leads Skye out of the restaurant into the main part of the casino. "Its up to you," he tells her. "We can do whatever you like." She considers.
"Lets dance," she says, dragging him over to the brightly lit dance floor. An upbeat song is playing and the two dance together. When the music becomes slower, Jax pulls Skye close to him, slipping one arm around her waist and gently resting the other on her back. She winds her arms around his neck and leans her head on his shoulder, deeply breathing in the smell of his cologne. They sway slowly to the music. When the music stops and Skye leaves her head on his shoulder, Jax kisses her neck gently. Goose bumps overtake her whole body at his touch, but she doesnt pull away. Instead, she simply lifts her head slightly and gives HIM a kiss on the neck. They dance for a long time, before Jax takes Skyes hand and leads her to a small table. Skye eyes him, her heart beating fast.
"Ill be right back," he says, winking at her and stroking her cheek. Then he hurries off, leaving her to wonder.
