Skye gets up from her chair and walks quietly over to the handrail of the patio, not wanting to look into Jaxs eyes. She knows that if she does, thats it; shes gone. But, part of her argues, dont you WANT to be gone?. She hears Jax come up behind her. She sighs with contentment when he puts his arms around her, holding her. She just stands there, trying to control herself and stop the tears before they come. She knows its no use though. She feels the tears gently slide down her cheeks. Jax pulls her around to face him, looking at her questioningly. Silently he wipes the tears from her eyes. She sniffles quietly and looks at him.

"I just dont know what to think," she says softly. "Im so overwhelmed right now. Theres just something about you, Jax. Something different. Somehow you just know me, understand who I am. And I cant tell you how comforting that is to me". She looks up at him, the tears falling once again. He pulls her into a hug, just holding her. She leans her head against his shoulder, unable to believe what is happening. He gently strokes her hair. When Skyes tears finally stop, she picks up her head and smiles softly. He takes her hand and walks her over to the bench underneath the cherry tree, just beyond the patio.

They sit down next to each other. Jax softly brushes Skyes hair back from her face. She tingles at his touch, then shivers with joy. She cant believe this is actually happening. He gently turns her face towards him and her breath catches in her throat. Please let this be real she silently begs. A moment later she has her answer. She shivers again when Jax kisses her, very softly and sweet. She kisses him back, feeling happier and more alive than ever before. All her cares fly away. All she can focus on is Jax and the fact that he is kissing her. The late afternoon sun sparkles down on the two of them, matching the feelings in their hearts.
